Exciting New Hairdresser Has Opened in Broomfield
Salon 88 owner, Claire Barton, who has been hairdressing 28 years, and teaching hairdressing at various colleges for 6 years, has opened a bespoke new hair cutting service in Herne Bay, Kent.
The idea came about after government cut backs reduced teaching hours across the colleges, Claire contacted the local council for permission to turn her old front room into a salon. This was permitted and her husband, Gary, organized the work to be done. Much research was done to gather the right materials to create the best look.
Claire has gained good response from the local parish council, and many locals of the surrounding village. The salon prices are very competitive, undercutting many salons around the area, but offering more of a one to one client service. This gives the clients, both old and new, a complete and personal experience, without the interruptions of other stylists or clients. You book your time with Claire and you get her all to yourself until the hair service is completed.
The salon has a facebook page where clients can update their comments on their salon experience, and may even have a chance of being client of the week. The client may also have photos taken of a new cut and colour put on the facebook page, and this is a great way of creating good feeling.
Claire was once the wedding coordinator to a top local Canterbury salon, taking her off to large estates where elaborate wedding would take place. Her experience gave her the idea that the bride likes all of the attention and not shared through out a salon, so salon 88 offers a new experience. The bride and her family can book the salon for the wedding day. Everything is catered for including a range of beauty treatments on offer at the salon. Wine and treats will also be included in the price. If it is a summer wedding, Claire can offer the groom and friends a chill around the gardens pool. But don’t worry, there is a side entrance so the bride and groom can stay separate!
