Bigger Is Not Always Better At Trade Shows

Not all the time is bigger better. When attending trade shows there are always large bold graphic, some backlit, some printed on fabric and some printed other materials. Exhibitors tend to think that the bigger your graphics the better you look, and the more one can be seen over its rivals. Well in some case no! that not true. Most of these large graphics are over kill. There are three levels of graphics which one should consider when exhibiting at a trade show.

The first level is ID; this is usually the graphic that identifies your trade show display booth from your competitors. This type of sign usually has your ID well printed on it showing your companies name and main brands

Second level of signage or graphics would be the smaller graphics that can be viewed from the small aisle of the trade show. Have you ever notice how one has to look up to identify a booth or a company while you are standing right next to the trade showbooth. This is because the exhibiting company has not second level signage. One should not have to look too hard and far to find out who is exhibiting especially when you are standing right next to the booth. An exhibitor should have signage or ID at eye level or a little above so it can be viewed from the show aisle

The third and final signage or graphics should be graphics or ID that is showing ones product. This graphic should be placed near a product or on a wall. It should be small and large enough for a small group to view. This type of signage or graphics should be located within your booth environment. This graphic should be able to bring someone into your booth from the aisle. It should be just enough to capture ones attention and keep it, just enough to gets ones attention to ask for more information on the product and or services.
